The programme for 2019 is mostly based around the RORC offshore race calendar. I intend to do as many of these RORC races as is sensible. This will certainly include the Rolex Fastnet Race.
The programme below is based on the Notice of Race from RORC and JOG, etc. Dates may be subject to change but as of now (January 2019) changes should be unlikely. The RORC 2019 Notice of Race gives further details for each of the races, including dates, start times and rough courses):
The key events are in bold below; the others are less certain. (Ones in italics are just for information.)
I hope to start doing some inshore events, including a shakedown and testing weekend early in the season; Easter is significantly later this year than last. If these go well, I might add some more at the end of the season.
One difference this year is the timing of the North Sea Race, which is an event I enjoy and would like to do again if possible. The last two times (2015 and 2018) it came after the Cervantes Trophy race which effectively avoided one delivery. This year the NSR is later, after the MoM and just a week before the DGB, so organisation may be more problematic.
